Do I really have the energy for 2 blogs?

The only honest answer is that I just don’t know!

So, I’ll give it a try but I make no promises.

I’ll be blogging about my stumbling, bumbling, mumbling walk in these the final few years, days, hours, minutes of my life.

Which is not to say it will be an ‘oh woe is me’ blog. Most days I’ll be ranting and roaring about what I believe are things worth ranting and raving about.

It’s Getting To Be Chili Pepper Hot Here

Last night about midnight I went out to check the water levels in the ponds. I suppose I was outside for about 15 minutes. As I sat down the sweat was forming on my body.

This is remarkable for one simple reason: for most of the last 20+ years the temperature has fallen to near 22C. at night. Now it seems to be staying a lot closer to the daytime high, and that’s getting higher. Which is why I was checking the water level in the ponds. It’s hotter and drier than it historically has been and we’re living through a drought.

Even A Penny/Farthing Day Can Be Excellent!

The day started with my cell phone reminder to take my insulin awakening me from a rare, good sleep. The good news being that it worked even with my cell phone turned off.

Master And Commander

The exercise bike has gone from needed tool to master and commander. Admittedly a master and commander that I receive great benefit from but still and all a master and commander.

But, as the wise old woman said ‘you can’t eat your cake and have it too’. For better mental and physical health I’ll knuckle my brow to the master and commander!

The Chili Peppers Have Blossomed

Today I noticed two blossoms on the bigger of the chili plants. If we have done things right and get truly lucky, we will be harvesting seriously red-hot chili peppers in maybe a month. Time will tell.

I Prefer Here To There

Israel has, since the 1967 Siege of Gaza used food, water, power and other necessities of life to slowly and painfully attack the Palestinian people.
In the last week Israel has convinced Washington that 2,000-pound bombs are ‘Defensive Weapons’.
China has over the last decade or so, built multiple new islands in the South China Sea and turned them into military outposts. In effect they have built a multi-layer defensive zone just in case push comes to shove over the oil and gas that has been fund in the SCS.
Britain, France, Germany and America are making record military sales and profits.
In my lifetime enablers of rape, pillage and plunder, aka War have always taken center stage while us silly people who believe in peacefully coexisting have always been labelled as ‘other’ and pushed to the fringes.

I Find The World Confuses Me

If we want beans on the menu we prepare the soil, plant the seeds, tend the plants and with the help of the gods we’ll be eating beans. This I understand.
People come to my gate, lie about the reason and are amazed that when they try to convert me, they don’t succeed. They don’t seem to understand that I will never trust a liar. This I don’t understand.
It is simply not possible to prove God exists. This I understand.
To believe in the unprovable requires a leap of faith. This I understand.
Faith becoming facts to bludgeon others into submission? this I don’t understand.
To declare to the world that you prefer peace, this I understand.
For the same people to be suppliers of weapons of war… this I don’t understand.
Perhaps it’s just that I get confused easily?

Most People Don’t Care About Rights They Care About Survival

The UN has a long and thoughtful description of what they have decided are the basic human rights and equalities.

Israel is a member of the United Nations. Israel doesn’t give a damn about Palestinian human rights and equalities. For a long time, Canada, another member of the United Nations, didn’t give a damn about the rights and equalities of Indians.

So, I say to you, until we follow Micah’s advice and do justice, offer mercy, walk humbly and acknowledge the truth that Jesus taught that everyone is our neighbor, the only guaranteed rights and equality you’ll find will be death!
